The Flux team has been working relentlessly behind the scenes to expand the ecosystem’s offerings and provide users with a genuinely decentralized web experience. This article will explore some of the Flux-ful moments in March.

Flux-Algo Joins Parallel Assets

March kicked off with Flux’s signature Interoperability feature, Parallel Assets. These assets allow Flux to exist on other blockchains, retaining both the native Flux value and the peculiarities of their host blockchain.

Before March, seven Flux parallel assets were circulated, namely Flux-KDA, Flux-ETH, Flux-BSC, Flux-SOL, Flux-TRX, Flux-AVAX, and Flux-ERG, each allowing for interaction with other respective blockchains. In March, however, Flux took the ecosystem’s interoperability further by introducing Flux-Algo, distributed as a reward for the Flux-o-ween snapshot.

Why Algo?

The Algorand technology is a world-class, high-performance layer-one blockchain that has revolutionized speed and scalability. Similarly, it shares Flux’s ethos of a sustainable environment (the chain has been carbon-negative since 2021). Therefore, the launch of Flux-Algo was an innovation that would allow both ecosystems to interact and promote Web3 adoption.

The Parallel asset has been distributed to every wallet holding Flux at the time of the snapshot. Here is how to claim it. You can swap your Flux-Algo directly in Zelcore for either native Flux or any other Flux parallel asset. This article takes a deeper dive into Flux-Algo parallel assets and their implications for the ecosystem.

Cumulus Fractus Rewards

Fractus Nodes have been described as the “workhorse of Flux IFPS,” with good reason. Their primary function is to make decentralized storage available in the Flux ecosystem. Fractus nodes are cumulus-tier nodes that can provide a minimum of 10 terabytes of storage.

However, unlike the more prevalent traditional cumulus nodes, they have no SSD requirements and are spinning-rust compatible. In March, Flux finally rolled out the rewards program for these nodes, an additional 15% on top of the standard cumulus reward structure. The first batch of rewards was distributed in the first week of March, and now, Fractus node owners can look forward to their rewards every month. Interested in running a Fractus node? Flux Legacy Auction:

In March, Flux hosted its first-ever charity auction, with the proceeds donated to “Code Like A Girl,” an organization working to break down the gender barriers in tech by teaching more girls how to code. Another beneficiary was Pawhouse, an establishment that helps pets find a loving home.

The prize? The first-ever Legacy Titan watch!

This limited edition timepiece is both a luxury physical possession and an NFT. TSAO Baltimore produced it in partnership with Flux and Zelcore. In addition to the watch, the winner gets exclusive access to all Flux events for life (including FluxCon), unlimited access to Zelcore+, and new beta platforms on Flux as they are released. But there is still more. The winner also gets the opportunity to participate in new airdrops and NFTs from FluxLabs projects.

FluxOS Dashboard App 2.0 (Plus Carbon Tracking)

The FluxOS dashboard application received a significant upgrade in March. The application has been reskinned to match the new UI feel on our official website. There are also new dedicated dashboards for carbon tracking and Fractus nodes. Marketplace search functionality and parallel asset reward details for each node tier have also been integrated. This new version can be accessed on the web, android, and IOS.

ChatGPT on Flux Discord:

If you haven’t been living under a rock without an internet connection, you’ve probably heard of ChatGPT. This AI wonder has taken the world by storm due to its advanced conversational abilities and performance. A decentralized version of ChatGPT has been fully integrated into the Flux discord to improve responses and runs on our infrastructure.

New Listings, New Projects:

The Flux token has also been listed on new exchanges and wallets, including SwapSpace, Coinstash, CryptoWallets, and Mercatox. In March, new projects were launched on the Flux Cloud, including; the Fuse RPC node, an enterprise-grade and EvM-compatible blockchain ideal for testing, building, and scaling Web3 projects (You can now deploy your Fuse node live on Flux, here’s how to get started).

Celo RPC nodes have also made a list; a carbon-negative and mobile blockchain that supports decentralized payments, mobile Defi, and the building of DApps. Streamr Broker nodes are now fully running with over 360 active nodes. All nodes are available for deployment on the Flux marketplace.

FluxLabs has also partnered with LedgerMail to explore infrastructure integration with the world’s first decentralized email service.

And before closing the curtains on March;
