The Zel team is further along with getting ZelFlux up, ready, and running. So it’s time for a major stress test! Oh, and a bit of friendly competition never hurt! Particularly when it is helping to put the SmackDown on the Lockdown.

In honor of that, the Zel team would like to extend the following invitation:

Lockdown SmackDown! Terms:

• 25k Zel prize pool
• Folding with the Zel team via ZelNodes or GPU/CPU Zel Team ID to use262156
• 10 users chosen randomly at the end of competition earn 2.5k Zel each
• Start: Week of 4th May End: June 1st
• Chosen randomly from the Zel team’s folding@home page
• Live drawing on the 1st of June, follow Twitter / Discord / Telegram for the exact time as we get closer.
• Use your ZelID, CruxID, or Zel address as your username on each “worker” joining the team. No Zel/Crux-ID or address, no shot at Zel!

Why is Zel running a FOLDING@HOME competition?

Zel isn’t “just talk”, tangible results are what it is all about and this neatly kills two birds with one stone. The first bird is testing the deployment of applications to run on ZelFlux at scale. The second being lifting up spirits by getting some excitement going by doing some good! It’s a twofer to use an expression even millennials should be able to understand.
