ZelCore + Merchcoins
We are happy to announce that ZelCore will be integrating Merchcoins into their multi-asset wallet. Users will be able to purchase and hold their Target, Starbucks, Best Buy, Walmart, Home Depot, and Lowe’s backed ERC20 stablecoins on the ZelCore wallet. Merchcoins holders will be able to maintain custody of their assets, along with 150+ other assets, on their Desktop and iOS/Android applications.
How Merchcoins Works
Merchcoins are backed by both digital currency and ready-to-go gift card codes. Merchcoin assets act as fiat-locked stablecoins via ERC-20 tokenization.
On redemption of a Merchcoin, our Merchcoin wallet will send the redeemer a ready-to-go gift card code either directly or by purchasing the underlying gift card with our digital currency float.
