July launched exciting upgrades, new features, and cross-boundary partnerships for the InFlux ecosystem. In this article, we review our critical milestones for the past month.

IFC Partnership

July started with Flux's exciting partnership as a primary sponsor for IFC3. Influencer Fight Club (IFC), founded by George Tung, is a competitive fight promoter coordinating bouts between top celebrities and influencers globally. It is also part of Karate Combat, a full-combat league for elite fighters and professionals across eight weight divisions.

Unlike traditional fighting leagues, Karate Combat combines live-action, CGI, and virtual production, offering the audience a high-quality and entertaining experience. The audience can also vote for their preferred winning fighters using the mobile application without penalties for lost bets.

The third edition of the IFC event took place in Nashville, Tennessee, on July 25th at the Bitcoin conference. It featured a fighting list that included Phil Russel, Bama, and Lauren Sweeney. The Karate Combat token is also listed in InFlux’s non-custodial wallet, Zelcore. Check out this article to read more about this partnership and its scope.

CypherPunk 2024 Event

One of the significant highlights of July was CypherPunk 2024, which took place in Nashville as an exciting prelude to the Bitcoin conference. This year, CypherPunk was a VIP meetup and networking event with top thought leaders across blockchain and the tech industry in attendance. The keynote was delivered by Daniel Keller (CEO and co-founder of Influx Technologies). It also featured an exclusive influencer panel with George Tung (Founder of Influencer Fight Club) and IFC fighters Nic Carter, Coty Kuhn, and Harley Hermanson.

Other notable attendees at CypherPunk 2024 include Andrew Tu (Head of Sales, Efficient Frontier) and Mike (C-founder, Terra hosting). Just in case you missed it, here’s a recap on Youtube.

True Multi-Signature Accounts and More

SSP broke a remarkable record in July, becoming the first wallet platform to launch true multi-sig accounts on Ethereum without needing an externally owned account. This game-changing innovation unlocks a new level of security, promotes flexibility, and eliminates many challenges with conventional wallet technology. The SSP development team also released a Schnorr Multi-Signature Account Abstraction typescript library to enable developers and other interested contributors globally to explore native multi-sig Ethereum addresses. Still, SimpleX servers joined the list of available DApps and servers on the Flux marketplace in July. SimpleX is a privacy-first messenger app that protects the privacy of users’ profiles, contacts, and metadata by using E2E encryption and eliminating identifiers. As a result, messages and data exchanged on the platform are safely hidden from the prying eyes of external observers and even SimpleX servers.

New Zelcore Version

Zelcore got a significant upgrade last month, marking its transition to version 8.4.0. Newly added features include a “Replace by Fee” (RBF) functionality for Bitcoin and Litecoin; this allows a sender to replace an unconfirmed transaction with a different version of that transaction but with a higher fee. This is crucial when a transaction takes too long to get confirmed due to a congested network. Increased transaction fees incentivize miners to verify the transaction faster, thus increasing flexibility in managing transaction fees and confirmation times.

The new version of Zelcore also introduced support for the Arbitrum chain, with supported tokens including ARB, USDC.E, DAI, and USDT. The digital asset portfolio was expanded to include tokens like Pepe ERC20, Floki ERC20, Floki BEP20, and Turbo ERC20. To download the latest version of Zelcore, visit the official website.

Folding@home ‘Launch and Win’

To wrap up July, we launched a ‘Launch and Win’ Competition on FluxCloud and FluxEdge, offering participants a chance to win from a $10,000 prize pool. To participate on FluxCloud, deploy a Folding@home app for $2.99/month, and you could win a share of the $2,500 prize pool, with $500 in FLUX for each of the five winners.

On FluxEdge, the rules are similar: deploy Folding@home apps to earn tickets for a $7,500 prize pool. You get a ticket for every $25 spent on running this deployment. The more you deploy, the more tickets you earn. At the end of the competition (August 31st), the top five winners will each receive $1,500 in $ FLUX.
