Flux in Review: April Recap

April was a very significant month for the blockchain industry, and on the Web3 side of the wall, Flux was included. This article discusses the key events that shaped Flux April’s timeline and their importance in the grand decentralization scheme.

The 19th of April marked the fourth Bitcoin halving, an inbuilt deflationary event that has far-reaching effects on Bitcoin and the Crypto industry. Two weeks before that, KiteRocket happened.

Kites and Rockets

April started with the official unveiling of KiteRocket, a full-service marketing communication agency, as Flux’s “Agency of Record.” Since its establishment in 2016, KiteRocket has demonstrated proven expertise in public relations, media/influencer relations, and digital marketing. Now, the agency will work with Flux to shape its brand visibility and position the Web3 company as a leading influence in the tech ecosystem.

Similarly, Emmanuel Machaya joined the Flux team as a Business Development Officer. In his new capacity, Emmanuel offers a fresh perspective to Flux’s vision of driving innovation through blockchain technology.

Zelcore has Rebranded

Following InFlux Technologies' acquisition, Zelcore unveiled its rebranded colors last month. In addition to the new logo, fresh theme colors, and a completely revamped user interface, we added new functionalities to the wallet to ensure a more robust experience.

These include integrated support for BIP39 to ensure ease of wallet recovery and BIP44 address support for flexibility in managing multiple accounts/addresses within the same wallet. SSO & Fiat Payment is Here

Also, in April, Flux took usability to the next level with the release of FluxOS v5.3.0. This new upgrade introduces Flux single sign-on (SSO) for logging into FluxOS and managing Flux Dapps. SSO is a user authentication service that enables users to access multiple applications using just one set of login details. Using Flux SSO, users can sign into Flux applications using Google, Email, and Apple ID without requiring a wallet. This will enable new users to interact with the ecosystem without the complexities of using a crypto wallet.

SSO complements the recently released fiat payment ramp. This ramp ensures Flux products are connected and can be paid directly in fiat. The end goal? To provide a seamless adoption of Web3-based technologies without the steep learning curve and foster the accessibility of Flux products to all users.

Partnerships and Listings

Flux was officially listed on Bitvavo, a leading digital exchange in Europe, and also brokered a partnership with Donorship. Donorship is the first Web3 crypto donations aggregator that helps blockchain projects process crypto donations through an integrated widget. With Donorship, donating $Flux to charity has never been easier!

UFL viewership in April peaked by 1.4 million when St. Louis Battlehawks, one of the UFL teams sponsored by Flux, took on San Antonio Brahmas in the third week of the season—during its clash with Arlington, the D.C. Defenders also pulled over 543,000 viewers on ESPN. In each of these games, Flux also participated, actively promoting the synergy between technology and sports and driving excitement around Flux’s decentralized technology.
