30-in-30: Second-week recap
Another festive Fluxmas week another seven decentralized applications running on Flux. This week saw a good mix of gaming and utility applications and even some Flux infrastructure added in for good measure. A total of 14 new dApps have been deployed, so we’re not even halfway through this marathon of dApp deployments. Read on for a recap of the ‘30-in-30’ second-week dApp launches.
The Flux ’30 in 30’ initiative is first of all about having fun and celebrating the Flux community. But it is also about showcasing the power and versatility of the Flux network by demonstrating what type of applications can be hosted on the network.
During December Flux will deploy 30(!) new decentralized applications on the Flux network in only 30 days. It’s the best Christmas calendar in blockchain, so be sure to follow us on Twitter @runonflux so you don’t miss a beat.
The Flux decentralized computational network has recently grown to more than 2300 nodes. By leveraging blockchain technology the Flux network delivers resilient, secure, and truly decentralized infrastructure to host Web 3.0. Best of all, Flux is a community-driven open-source project that is backed by a dedicated and highly skilled community.
Any hardened dockerized image can be globally deployed on the network and harness the power of Flux with more than 11,000 CPU cores, 35 terabytes of Ram, and 900 terabytes of storage space.
Now let’s have a look at the seven dApps that have joined the Flux network during the second week of ’30 in 30’.
Day 8: Grocy — a personal living dApp.
Fluxmas is the season to be jolly, but it is also a time where people contemplate what the next year brings and how to improve upon their lives. Besides buying Flux, you can now improve your life by getting things organized with this dApp, Grocy.

Day 9: MineTest — a gaming dApp.
And now for something fun. A game server for a free and open-source game similar to Minecraft. Something great to relax with or to entertain your kids while they wait impatiently for Christmas day.
Minetest is an open-source voxel game engine. It has many game modes, features huge maps as well as multiplayer and mod support. It is available for Windows, macOS, GNU/Linux, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, DragonFly BSD, and Android.

Find a server IP from the Flux global apps list on https://home.runonflux.io/apps/globalapps. In the game client, use server port 32000 to connect.
Day 10: Flux block explorers- a Flux infrastructure dApp.
On December 10th Flux was listed on the Binance exchange. The listing brought on a lot of new traffic and the Flux explorer that was running on four centralized servers had a hard time keeping up.
In the heat of battle, the Flux team ended up building more infrastructure for instant deployment on Flux. Flux migrated its explorer to about a dozen instances running on Flux, solving the technical issues with the Flux explorer. That is Web 3.0 scaling in a real-life scenario and what Flux was born to do.

Day 11: Whoogle — a search engine dApp
Flux supports privacy and sees Web 3.0 as a solution to the privacy issues inherent with utilizing centralized infrastructure. There have been enough scary examples recently of personal data being used for commercial purposes or targeting specific users with censorship or de-platforming.
If you use Google but want to keep that last shred of privacy, then you will love the dApp deployed here.
Whoogle is a privacy-focused Google search frontend. Get Google search results, but without any ads, javascript, AMP links, cookies, or IP address tracking. Quick and simple to implement as a primary search engine replacement on both desktop and mobile.

Day 12: Personal Blog — a blogging dApp.
This dApp demonstrates the hosting of a simple website or blog on Flux. This personal blog is a great way to share your thoughts with the world all while running on a decentralized platform.
Maybe it’s time to start your own crypto blog or maybe you just want to share pictures of dogs. Either way, Flux is a great platform for hosting your very own personal Blog. Something awesome about this particular dApp is the ability to make hidden posts for friends. We made a public friend account login to view hidden posts.

Day 13: Diagrams — a visualization dApp.
Good visualization and diagram software is really expensive, but this one is all free. Time to chart out some awesome diagrams with Diagrams.net.
Diagrams.net is a free open-source online diagram software (formerly known as draw.io). You can use it as a flowchart maker, network diagram software, to design database schema and more. You can learn more about Diagrams.net here: https://www.diagrams.net/

Day 14: Teeworlds game server — a gaming dApp.
Finishing up the second week of 30 in 30 is another fun gaming server, Teeworlds!
Teeworlds is an open-source free online multiplayer game, available for all major operating systems and downloadable for free via Steam. Battle with up to 16 players in a variety of game modes, including Team Deathmatch and Capture The Flag. We hope to see some Fluxians join the fray and battle for glory!
Find the servers running on Flux in the game client, they’re all named ‘Runonflux.io Community’.
